What does unemployment feel like with and without hope? | Commercial Photographer London

A commission with a difference. I was asked to produce some still images for a montage video for a management consultancy. The brief was to produce two sets, one to feature at the start of the video depicting what enemployment feels like when there is no hope. The video then continued with details about the company’s software designed to prepare young people with tools, strategies and the right attitude to face applying for, and getting, job. The last part of the video again featured my images, this time still showing the youngster unemployed, but with feels of hope. Caspar, who was my model, is a budding actor and enjoyed the subtleties pof the role.

So, here are some of the the “before” images:

And these are the images depicting some hope:

You’ll never guess where these new bathrooms, complete with hand painted murals, have been installed

These new bathrooms are finished with hand-painted murals. Three students from Woodcote High School have spend several months designing and painting murals in two bathrooms. It was the brain child of someone who works where they are installed and Sarah Young from the High School was approached to oversee the project.

The final result is fabulous and the rooms were opened this week. Answers to the location below the pictures . . .

So where are they?  It might surprise you to know they are in a residental care home – Woodcote Grove House at Coulsdon, near Croydon.  One of the many run by my client, Friends of the Elderly.

Roz and Sam’s Pre-wedding shoot | Surrey Wedding Photographer

I was impressed that we managed to find a morning when there was no rain for our shoot, which was in central London. I really enjoyed getting to know Sam and Roz a little better and we have a very enjoyable couple of hours together.

Natasha and Alan’s Pre-wedding eShoot | Wedding Photography Surrey

Just how much in love are Natasha and Alan?  Bedfont Lakes, near Feltham, was a lovely location for their pre-wedding eShoot and the weather was kind to us. I am fascinated by the idea of photographing love: I believe it is an important part of wedding photography and one that is sometimes overlooked in favour of style and detail; all three are important.  What do you think?
