Portfolio in Windsor

Dilly was looking for some fortfolio shots for a casting agency; the brief was to combine something edgy with some lovely portraits. We had great fun for a couple of hours this morning around Windsor river front and in a local bar under the wonderful railway arches – thanks to Mantra Windsor. Dilly really enjoyed herself and I think the results speak for themselves.

Rainy Sunday in Walton

Having gone through the whole of last year with shoots hardly affected by the weather, this year has proved to be tougher. After Leela’s birthday shoot from a couple of weeks ago, today’s lifestyle booking for the Carol, Dan, Jaz and Oscar involved a lot of shower dodging. However, we still managed some nice shots. In a couple of weeks or so I am doing a solo shoot with Carol who is re-launching her singing career. I particularly liked this shot of Jaz and one of Oscar:

A party with no guests

This was an interesting brief. Laura Jollit and Matthew Law at Coq d’Argent (the fabulous DandD London restaurant on the roof of No 1 Poultry in the City) hosted their first Al Fresco Party of the year and invited events organisers from major companies in the city. It was a lovely evening, with entertainers from Planned 2 Perfection, fine wine and, of course, great canapés from the kitchen. I was invited along to cover the event photographically, but asked not to photograph guests – apart from wide shots of the whole room. Consequently, I had great fun picking out details and moments – something for which my wedding experience came in very useful indeed. I also created a Thank You card to be mailed to attendees and a quantity to be used generically. This was the front cover I designed using images from the evening:

Picture of me

For some time now I have had an old photograph of me on my website. And, when I say old – I was about ten years old at the time. As you can imaging, I’ve changed a bit since then. So recently I asked fellow social photographer Phil Ripley to tackle the job. He has produced some lovely images that I am very pleased to be able to share with you. I’ll be updating my various profiles over the next week or so.

After the rain

Following yesterday’s very wet weather, today threw up that beautiful, sunny, “after the rain” lighting that we sometimes get in this country. So, off the Haslemere to photography Sarah, Keith, Alice and Katie in their lovely home. Starting with the house, we moved to the garden and then completed the shoot in nearby woods.
